Safeguarding Policy
Tiger Martial Arts is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
As part of this commitment, all staff that come into schools are ID checked and rigorously vetted; a process that includes the use of enhanced DBS disclosures.
We hereby confirm that all of our employees that visit schools on a regular basis have been subjected to all relevant checks and courses including:
- Enhanced DBS
- All Relevant Barred List & Disqualification Checks
- Child Protection & Prevent Training
- First Aid Training
All staff are made aware of safeguarding requirements through policy, procedure & training. The personnel & payroll database includes addresses, dates of birth, start dates & dates of when the relevant checks have been carried out. Verification of identity, permission to work in the UK, medical checks and the childcare disqualification checks are all carried out as part of our process. All staff will carry holographic, tamper-proof photographic identification which will be made visible on arrival at schools to confirm their identity, and to confirm that they have been subjected to these checks.
Details are securely stored in accordance with DBS protocol, and are not disclosed to third parties. As per section 145 of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2018, schools should seek this statement from any partner organisations as written confirmation that the relevant checks have been done.
If you have any concerns regarding whether an individual is a genuine Tiger Martial Arts employee, or have any questions regarding our Safeguarding Policy, then please do not hesitate to contact me directly via safeguarding@tigermartialartsclub.com or 07921855900.
